Admission

Residents interested in coming to Acacia Care Home are encouraged to visit the home and sample the atmosphere and level of service.

The proprietor may wish to assess the resident prior to admission to determine the care needs.

A month's trial period is always given before taking permanent residency.

Initial residency

As a resident you should be satisfied that your care needs are being met and you are receiving the amount and quality of help required.  The manager of the home should be satisfied that they are able to provide the level of care required and that you will benefit from this care.

It may take time to properly assess these care needs and to allow understanding between each other.  The initial four weeks of residence shall therefore be considered a trial period, at the end of which either party may terminate the agreement by giving one week's notice.
